About Me

I don't think I really got to experience traveling until Spring of 2015 when I did a study abroad program called Semester At Sea. Over the course of 5 months I went to 19 countries via ship and plane. The people I met are what made the experience unforgettable. Now I consider every trip an opportunity to connect with people that possess a similar mindset towards the feeling of endless possibility that comes with being in a new place.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Since I graduated 6 months ago I've been working part time as an emergency room scribe. I just got a second job as a French Immersion school aid but it doesn't start until January. My friend from study abroad is visiting me and we're going on a road trip down to San Francisco, LA, and San Diego to visit with the MD-PhD faculty at each school (if possible). In order to make things work financially we're trying to get creative with our lodging.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to music every day. The spectrum is too wide to describe. No metal, screamo, or country. I only read non fiction. Got a love for the Dark Night Trilogy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I flew to Santorini and my backpack with my laptop and thesis materials was left in Spain, somehow I survived. I called the airline company to get it back, the UK sim card expired. I bought a knock off apple charger nearby, it didn't work. I rented a 4 wheeler to buy a charger at the island capital, the charger was the wrong size. I got the right charger, I dropped my phone on cement and the screen shattered. I got the backpack returned the night before I left the island, and had a great story to tell.
