About Me

tranquilojonny.com

Single loving life, I have 2 daughters 33 and 36 and 2 granddaughters 13 and 1 and 1 grandson aged 4.. I work for a while to earn enough money to go travelling. My first long trip to South America was for 6 months, where I volunteered on an eco project for 2 months and then spent a further 4 months backpacking around had an absolute blast. I shipped my motorcycle to New York May 2015 and rode up to Deadhorse, Alaska dipped my toes in The Arctic Ocean then turned south towards Ushuaia, Argentina. Travelled down through North America took in Burning Man on the way, what a concept hedonism and art in the desert, awesome.............. through Central America reaching Brasil after 12 months on the road, parked mi Tigre, motorbike, in Uberlandia, Brasil and returned to the UK April 2016 to partake in The Mongol Rally, London to Ulaan Baataar, what a craic met some absolutely amazing people travelling through Europe, Turkey, Iran, 5 Stans, Russia and Mongolia. Back to South America and once again on the road, dipped my toes in Drake's Passage off Ushuaia. My granddaughter said she wanted to come travelling so we spent a few weeks in South Africa and Botswana. I really wanted her to experience couchsurfing as it is so amazing, we then couchsurfed for a month in Israel and Jordan ...... back on the bike again going up to Nordkapp and then south to Capetown down the west coast of Africa. Now back on the bike in New Zealand , shipped the bike to Sydney where it has languished for two years in lockdown and now with travel becoming easier it's time to hit the road once more. Now touring India on a Himalayan
