Overview
About Me
Everyday I start with 2 cups of coffee and the New York Times. Then I focus on my to-do list. Depending where I am it changes but typically includes some of the following: run, bike, research backpacking trips, make travel plans, read a book, study Spanish, work, hangout with friends and family, cook, golf, and take pictures, among other things. Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's fun! It's exciting to meet new people and hear about thier life and thier community. Hearing locals talk about thier community and what's special about it is always interesting for me and adds to the travel experience.

Music, Movies, and Books
My appreciation for music is wide and I like most anything. I'm a fan of history books and biographies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I served as a Peace Corps Volunteer twice. Yes, I liked it so much I did it twice. Once in Peru and then in El Salvador. And I'd love to do it a third time. It's the best way to experience a culture while also serving a local community.
Teach, Learn, Share
“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one’s lifetime.”
- Mark Twain
