Hi my name is John and I'm a flight instructor from Melbourne and a local to the area. I just moved into a new place in glen Iris with two of my friends, Jackson (from Australia) and Harriet (from England) and we are all keen on meeting new travellers to Melbourne and happy to share our lounge room to anyone keen to meet new people too!

I think this is a great way to meet people from different places. I'm also using couch surfing when I travel and I think it's important I offer my place for people to stay at if I'm going to stay in others.

My interests include aviation, travelling, music (all sorts ... The Beatles are my favourite!), football ( huge Manchester City fan!) and Australian football (Richmond)! History and reading I also love!

Flown an aeroplane underneath powerlines would be the craziest thing I've done.. but anytime I travel the world to anywhere it's pretty amazing!

Well I am a pilot so I could possibly take you flying but it does cost a bit of money of course to take a plane out 😬. I always love talking about my interests in the world and history or sport or anything really!

If I get time i can always show you around town or where the good bars are and so forth!

I would personally love to learn another language or bits of them anyway! I only know a few words from a few languages, I'm quite hopeless! I also just like learning about other cultures too!

I only have a couch at this place but it's quite comfortable this couch so it's very easy to sleep on! Oh and there is always beer in the fridge to share! 😉
