About Me

As an English teacher, it's embarrassing how hard it is for me to find some suitable adjectives to describe myself. I suppose I should say that I am friendly, thoughtful, with a sense of humour. Oh, that reminds me, a friend/mentor said recently that I have quite a bit of emotional intelligence - not completely sure what that means or if that is a relevant quality, but it sounds good!

I teach English as a foreign language both in a local language school and online. Here is my online teaching profile if you want to watch a video of me embarrassing myself: https://www.italki.com/teacher/2368249

Ok, I suppose I should try to say some more interesting things: I live with my fiancé in Salisbury, with 2 cats (Lemon and Pepper) and 10 chickens. I am a host on airbnb so enjoy meeting people from all over the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I'm not working in a language school I am teaching English online. Theoretically, as long as there is good WIFI, I can work anywhere. A close friend (who I am using as a reference) has been recommending that I try couch-surfing for years - so here I am (finally)

I'm obsessed with podcasts at the moment.

Favourite movie is 'Lost in Translation'.

But seriously, some recent favourites include Zorba the Greek by Nikos Kazantzakis, The 4 Hour Work Week by Tim Ferris and The Alchemist.
