About Me

I grew up with seven siblings to a single mother. Growing up I have always had a knack for adventure. I was always the kid getting into all kinds of different adventures just because I said yes to things that came my way. I was given the opportunity to live the life I want and become the person I wanted to be due to positive reinforcement.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am couch surfing because I want to see the world through a world view. I feel like growing up in Los Angeles gives a person a skewed view of the world and I want to experience more to see what it has to offer me. Meeting new people on the way and making life long friends are just icing on the cake.

Interests

I enjoy reading, going on adventures in the wilderness, and in the city. I just love to see and experience new things. I am open to basically everything that comes my way because how will I know if I like something unless I try it out. I enjoy producing music. I am teaching myself yoga.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music is hard to choose because I grew up on mo-town, I love rap from the 90s , but EDM is also a great choice. I listen to basically everything since I make music I like to hear what other people like to get a better feel for it all. Movies...I try not to watch as much now because I feel like time can be used in a better way but if I had to choose it would be Star Wars, LOTR, and any movie with Al Pacino or Patrick Swayze in it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I think I have done was curate a museum. It is called the Museum of Social Justice in Downtown Los Angeles and is located in historic Olvera street. It was rewarding to see something that I put my heart in soul into get turned into an event that had civil rights leaders and political officials attend. Six months before I started working on the project I was watching a civil rights activist named Donzaleigh Abernathy, daughter of Minister Ralph Abernathy ( close friend and adviser of MLK), give a speech and after I put my event together she was one of the key note speakers at our Gala event. To go from seeing her give a speech to asking her to give a speech at our event was a great accomplishment. It showed me just how much can be accomplished in a short amount of time with hard work and a positive attitude.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach one to be more centered. I tend to be positive in some of the toughest situations and I share those vibes with those around me. I am willing to learn anything that someone has to teach me. I want to learn as much as I can on this earth and be able to share what I have learned with other people.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my experience on this earth. I can teach my host how to use ableton music production program. Best of all I can share positive vibes and knowledge about our historical significance. I can cook, I am not a five star chef but I know how to make some pretty decent meals. I was raised by a single mother who would cook thanksgiving every year for the whole extended family so I picked up a few things.
