About Me
Hello! I come from a background rooted in the nonprofit sector, where I’ve spent much of my career in data and analytics roles that help drive meaningful, mission-focused work. While I’m proud of that chapter, I’m now stepping into a new season of life—one that’s centered on holistic healing, human connection, and the deep, transformative work of wellness and recovery.
Recently licensed as a massage therapist in California, I bring a heart-centered, trauma-informed approach to my practice, drawing on personal experiences and a genuine passion for supporting others on their healing journeys. I’m a lifelong learner who values community, creativity, and authentic presence.
I identify as gay, am in long-term recovery, and tend toward introversion and quietude. These aspects of who I am deeply inform my work and the way I hold space for others, with compassion, attentiveness, and care. FYI- I am disheartened by what's happening politically in the United States.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’ve always enjoyed travel, exploring new places, and capturing moments through photography—so coming to Vancouver is a real treat. I visited before and stayed with a friend downtown, and I’ll be with him again this summer, but in the meantime, he’s overbooked. That opened the door for me to try something new, and Couchsurfing felt like a great opportunity—not just for a place to stay, but for a more personal, local perspective on the city. I really value authentic connection and the little unexpected moments that make a trip memorable, so I’m looking forward to meeting someone new and seeing Vancouver through a different lens.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have a lot of favorite movies, books, and songs—it’s hard to pick just a few! When it comes to movies, I’m drawn to strong character development and stories with emotional depth, rather than the typical Hollywood formula or excessive action. I love films that make me feel something real or offer a fresh perspective on the human experience.
Books are much the same for me—I’m always on the lookout for meaningful stories, thoughtful nonfiction, or anything that stretches my mind and heart. I read across genres, but I especially enjoy memoirs, books on healing and psychology, and the occasional beautifully written novel. I read many books concurrently.
Music is one of my favorite ways to unwind or shift my energy. I curate playlists on Apple Music with an eclectic mix—anything from ambient and acoustic to soul, indie pop, and deep house. It really depends on the mood, but I love discovering new artists and crafting the perfect vibe.
