Overview
About Me
Currently getting over a newly found identity crisis.
I was born and raised in Bali, Indonesia. Where I got to meet many people from all over the world as well as being involved in a truly specific culture unlike any other anywhere. It was cool, but Bali is unfortunately not a very big place, and my case of island fever gradually worsened to the the point that I felt somewhat like a gold fish trapped in a fish bowl, I wanted to see the great big outside world.
I moved to California two and a half years ago and followed my family's long held tradition of becoming a carpenter. It was very exciting at first. America was just like the movies, full of crazy characters with even wilder opinions. But with time some realizations began to dawn on me, America is far too competitive and rushed for my slow paced island boy persona, and it's not really the right place for me.
I'm currently hitch hiking around Europe trying to answer some very important questions about myself; who am I? And what and where do I want to be in this life?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm broke, and can't afford to stay in hotels.
Interests
I'm proud of all of my interests, perhaps with the exception of soccer and yoga.
Everything that is in the world of professional sports is so financially driven, and would normally go against most of my principals, but I succumbed to peer pressure at a very young age.
Yoga and meditation is all too often used as a vehicle to satisfy one's ego, and convince those around of the existence of a superiority complex.
