I am in my early 30's and from Ireland. I currently work and live in Dalian, China. I like to travel when ever I have holidays. I like meeting people from different countries and finding out about different cultures.
I am easy going and like to look laugh as much as I can.

I don't think anyone was ever on their death bed and said "I enjoyed life too much and laughed way to much" That's the way I like to live and hang out with people who also love life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am currently traveling from Dandong to Dublin with a coworker through the Silk Road and would like to meet as many locals as I can and learn about local cultures. What I have found from my travels so far is that what makes a trip go from a good trip to a great trip is meeting good people along the way. This is a major reason I want to try couch surfing. I also have a nice apartment now which I have not had before and it would be good to be able to offer a nice place for other travellers to stay.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm still trying to do something amazing :-). I am a fully trained carpenter with a PhD in Environmental Economics so that's probable the most amazing thing I have done.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have traveled a lot of China and know some good places that people outside off China do not really hear about. I can also tell you what I have learned from all my mistakes traveling in China, and help you avoid them.
If you like to sit in the living room and talk I love talking! Or if you just want some peace, simply hang out in the spare room, I'm easy going either way.
