Overview
About Me
I am a fun-loving social person. I could also have serious conversations :) Topics that interest me are but not limited to philosophy, culture, history and places. I love to listen to people's experiences however little they are. I think knowledge is everywhere for those who seek it. I am a computer scientist and a mathematician by training. I have lost myself in the beauty of these subjects. I am a vegetarian by choice but do not prefer to get into arguments about vegetarianism.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have been using Airbnb for years whenever I travel. I accidentally (and luckily) came across the couchsurfing website. I instantly liked the idea of couchsurfing. I could not accept guests currently since I live in a shared accommodation and not everyone is ok with the idea. However, I might convince my flatmates in future. Unlike Airbnb, Couchsurfing is non-commercial. I see a possibility of meeting interesting like-minded people through this platform locally as well as internationally. It brings together people irrespective of their race, gender, color etc., and helps build connections on the basis of trust and mutual respect.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of my most memorable travel experience is to hike Mount Dobongsan, Seoul with a Korean local whom I met at a road en route to the mountain. We built a deep friendship in spite of having no common language, thanks to google translate and mobile data. During the hike, he led me through the routes known mostly to locals and at the end treated me an awesome vegetarian meal at an authentic Korean restaurant, "Mother's hand". I am ever thankful to Seoul for such a warm welcome and friendship.
