About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To save the world from poorly functioning bureaucracies
ABOUT ME
Friendly, honest, direct and reliable. I'm curious, like to think and discuss interesting things. I think profusely, and write about some of it on my blog at jsbaxter.blogspot.com.
I work pretty hard for things that are worthwhile (money isn't one of them...).
My landing page is at www.jsbaxter.com.au
PHILOSOPHY
Do whatever you can to make things better, but don't sweat the small stuff
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I moved to Adelaide in April 2012, and have surfed with a few people while finding my feet
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've been really lucky to stay with welcoming, cool people and made friends in my new city
Interests
I'm passionate about things working well. I have left my job in the Victorian Government because the government really needs to learn to work better, and it wasn't the best place to be on the inside. I'm moving to Adelaide because there are some people over here who I think have something to contribute.
I'm interested in design thinking, government, social enterprise... for some more light-hearted things to do I motorcycle (especially traveling), read, and enjoy places, trees, the sea, coffee...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most beautiful sunset I've seen was over ochre-red, rocky ranges in the Pilbara - absolutely outstanding! The most amazing sunrise was just a few days later from the range above Exmouth. I have lots of amazing memories from my 6 months in Russia, and 6 months motorcycling around Australia.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can 'teach' (as in, go through a mutual learning experience) social media basics, information and task management, 'government', motorcycling... lots of things. An expert in none, however,
