ABOUT ME

I really enjoy people. I love the chance to share a knowing smile or a difficult story. I enjoy adventure of most sorts and find myself seeking it out everywhere I go. I love to hike, climb, skydive, sail, snowboard, and just be outside.

I try to live my life conscious of those around me and not being afraid of going after my dreams. They can sometime catch me off guard and have taken a great commitment to fulfill. That said, at the end of it all I am a happy and healthy dude, and better for it.

I travel to see all that the world has to offer and hopefully learn more about myself and others in the process.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined CouchSurfing just after I sold nearly all my belongings, and started to travel around the word. So far I have only surfed, yet look forward to the day that I have a space for myself to host.

I participate by trying to be open minded and learning from other peoples experiences. I started traveling in the first place to learn about other cultures and the way others find value in their life. I love people, and love to share wisdom.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had nothing but great experiences with CouchSurfing. I have been hosted by wonderful people, and have exchanged many messages with people always willing to help along the way. I am thankful for all those who take the time to make CouchSurfing more than simply cheap accomodation.

Novels! For Sure. Classic ones like Crime and Punishnent or Grapes of Wrath. Recently I found myself crying on a train in UK while reading The Time Travelers Wife (an embarassingly romantic novel). I just finished Shantaram on my way to India myself.

Bought a parachute and completed over 100 skydives.

Bought a cheap car in Spain so I could run with the bulls in Pamplona.

Bought a 1 way ticket to London after selling everything without making a plan.

Teach: Life is too short to trust nobody. You can get hurt, but vulnerability also means opportunity. Oh yeah, and Dr. Bronner's soap. Use it. It's the best.

Learn: What does it mean to have a successful life?

Share: Love. Sometimes all you need in life is for someone to sharing a knowing smile, one where you feel understood and connected. Sometimes all you need is a hug from someone who can understand.
