LA HISTORIA

Hi, I'm Yona:)

I've been traveling for the last year through Asia and am now looking to take things slow in Europe. I want to spend more time painting, writing, doing yoga, and meeting people. I'm gay, vegetarian, and I can read your astrology chart for you.

THE STORY
I am from all over the US. I got a degree in finance which zapped my soul so I taught English in Thailand for a while. While there, I did a 12day Vipassana retreat and my interest in spirituality (and then astrology and Eastern medicine) began.

I ran an online shop selling ethically-sourced pants from India while traveling the US. The company brought me into contact with yoga studios throughout the country. I worked on a yoga center/permaculture garden for a while in Hawaii and then I moved to teach a Native Alaskan tribe how to garden sustainably. After that I spent a year traveling Asia (a 2nd time) and now I'm heading to Europe again!

I have couch surfed around the world (although usually with friends rather than through the app in the past) and have hosted couch surfers when living in Denver. I think it's one of the best ways to travel and meet people:)
