Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have been on the board of directors of Arlington Independent Media, the #1 new-media/cable-access facility of its kind in the nation. I was formerly a writer on staff at the nation's #1 rated university magazine, Emory Magazine. In my 20s I lived in one of the most alternative towns in the U.S., Santa Cruz. I have strong focus on fitness, and on natural foods.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Have used AirBnB only. I also sublet space in my Arlington VA home, minutes from Washington DC, to interns and others seeking low-cost temporary housing.
Interests
Have hiked Sierras, Rockies, Big Sur Coast, Tetons, Grand Canyon. Love TS Eliot, Euripides, Jos Conrad, Hemingway. Study leadership/social-benefit entrepreneurship. Have landed my projects with/on: CNN, Wash Post, NY Times, Oprah Winfrey. Schools: UC Santa Cruz, Yale, NYU. Have group house for interns in Arlington. Not techie but have patent: group communications voice/audio discussion forum. Blues acoustic guitar.
