Still learning ... I thought i knew myself, then i discovered the REAL me :-) ... life is to be lived!

PHILOSOPHY

The three ages of man, chronologically 44, physically 74, mentally (and most importantly) six and three quarters, i still laugh at knock knock jokes :-)

Every day is a school day... Never stop looking at the world from a different angle. There is something new to be learned at every turning.

Inbetween houses at the mo, so not able to travel much or offer a couch presently, but hopefully one day soon again?

I've been hosting CS'ers for over 5 years, and i have met lots of wonderful new friends!

People & places! Listening and talking with others and telling stories. Music is the soundtrack to my life! Football (soccer) the universal leveller & a great way to make friends if you don't speak the same language. Sailing - i would love to jump on a boat & just go sailing the world over. And Lotus (Caterham) Sevens and 21's - the best cars in the world :-)

Music - Everything!! - i live for music, the soundtrack to my life is constantly changing :-) Major influences are The The (Matt Johnson), The Cocteau Twins, Tears For Fears, Swimming To France, Bob Marley, Chris Rea, and tons tons more... I love ALL types of music! :-) Movies - occasionally, but i prefer to go *with* someone rather than just *go see a film* ... Books... again ... lots, but not much time to read recently :-s ... Science fiction and fantasy, such as The Lord of the Rings and Anne McCaffrey *Dragons of Pern* series for escapism. My current favourites are Jim Butcher's "Harry Dresden" novels and Ramez Naam's "Nexus" trilogy. Also car books - and old racing drivers' stories ... Autobiographies... Nelson Mandella should be an inspiration to us all, and Ellen Macarthur for the sheer get up and go drive she has!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Okay - so it's TWO amazing things, but i can't decide which was best! Sailing around the Greek Islands in a hired boat, being in charge of your own destiny and making it up as you go along, was just so amazing! Sailing around Antigua on a crystal blue Carribbean sea changed my life! Driving East coast to West Coast across the USA & up the Pacific Coast Highway was just awesome. There *is* still hope for America! LOL!
