About Me
CURRENT MISSION
See things I've not yet seen
I was in London not so long ago -- I'd taken a break from the tropics and flown to England to paddle down the Thames and it was a wonderful trip. But I learned a few months after i got back that there's a bookstore on a Dutch barge on the Regent's Canal. Not missing such things is maybe my new mission.
I live on a sailboat and am meandering about the world by sea. I'm a stranger everywhere i go and spend most of my time knowing nothing about the places i live. I see a lot but also miss a lot. Like the bookstore. I reactivated couch surfing after years of being away, wondering if it might be a useful tool for seeing more intelligently the places i find myself.
I'm probably not going to be much of a host as my presence in a place is always going to be short term, but I suppose if someone needs a last minute place to stay somewhere i happen to be... I also have a cat and live at anchor so coordinating dinghy ride to and from shore is necessary. As i said - I'm not really the best choice
ABOUT ME
I am quiet.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Have hosted people, it's worked pretty well.
Interests
I take pictures. Of course, I'm somewhat less diligent about developing them (friend of mine once said that developing film combines all the worst attributes of high school chemistry lab and the laundromat -- he was close to right).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Er, came to understand Archimedes' proof of the volume of a sphere.
