ABOUT ME

I'm easy going, friendly, well-humoured, and have a vast array of interests, among other things. I'm easy to get along with and am willing to make friends anywhere. The only downside that may be a hindrance to travelling is my allergy to cats.

I recently got married, so any travel plans will most likely include my wife, as well as any hosting we do.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

First timer. A friend told me about it and how great of an experience he had, so I decided to give it a try. I've couchsurfed in Scotland and Ireland and it was amazing!

I like playing music on various instruments. I like reading, learning, going to pubs and hanging out with people. I love learning various languages, and love studying about them. My first language is Ukrainian, then English, Latin, French, Old Icelandic, Old English, Irish, and am currently learning Welsh, whilst trying to maintain the other languages. I also understand Tagalog. I love cooking, and am academically and personally interested in food history and culture, particularly in the Middle Ages. I love music, and dancing. You can never go wrong with a polka or a two-step.

Interested in a vast array of books.
Movies: I'm ridiculously jumpy during movies, but I'll watch pretty much anything.
Music: Anything from punk to metal to jazz to blues to folk to polka.

Walking in Kyiv, Ukraine and seeing all the churches along the riverbank. Also, walking and hiking in the Carpathian Mountains was breathtaking!
