CURRENT MISSION

My main intent in life is to care for others as I expect them to care for me. In other words, I believe mankind is my family, and people who enter my house, I treat with the hospitality accorded relatives.

ABOUT ME

My life is filled with family and friends, although I equally enjoy quiet time alone, reading, listening to music, and reflecting. I enjoy meeting new people and have a very open mind to others' perspectives, which expand my own point of view. That's one of the reasons I enjoy traveling so much. I spent 4 years in early adulthood living abroad (Canada, Germany), which gave me a multi-cultural perspective on politics and social relations.

Although i'm generally serious, I also enjoy having fun with people, laughing and sharing experiences together.

PHILOSOPHY

As I said above, i treat all people fairly and enjoy an even balance of company and solitude. My main commitments are my family, my friends, and my profession.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the present time, I can host only occasionally due to my professional commitments. Eventually when I retire, I plan to host much more frequently. I enjoy showing people around Boston, which is a very beautiful and historical city.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am new to couch surfing and am really excited about meeting new people around the world, sharing experiences, and welcoming visitors to my hometown of Boston.

My favorite movies are French and Swedish from the 1930s to 1960s. My taste in music is wide-ranging, but i particularly like opera, classical piano, and jazz. I like long novels; I'm currently in a Proust reading group.
