About Me

Hallo! So my name is João and I come from Portugal! Right now I'm living in Berlin to learn german. Not easy! But I'll get it! Anyways I just want to travel! For 7 months I've been in Berlin and now it's time to explore around! Definitely I will bring my longboard. I just started one year ago, but this last months I'm starting to get more fanatic! ahah

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The more I travel, the more I realize that the most important thing is to connect with the locals. One of the best way to achieve that is through couchsurfing. I had a small experience during my interrail through Europe. This is a long story! So! I was arriving to Bern (Switzerland) and I just had meet a Australian guy in the train who was also doing an interrail. We both didn't have a place to sleep, so we asked to a group of people in the street where we could find a place. One of them said: "I work in a hotel, but is 200€ pro night! But if you want, you can stay in our place!" Presuming that Switzerland is the most safe country in the world, we accepted this invite! eheh Being this experience one of the best in the whole trip. They showed us not the monuments in Bern but what they do in their daily life ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

"Até onde vais com 1000€" this is a great book from 2 portuguese guys who travel with bicycle to Dakar during 5 months with only 1000€ which one. Inspire book for people who wants to travel in a low budget but with a lot of stories to tell :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
