ABOUT ME

I live in London and work in the City doing a fairly standard job in a fairly standard office environment. It wasn't always like this. I used to have more time to travel, more time to meet people, more time to do whatever I wanted to do.

In my past life I lived in China and did a bit of travelling around. I'm currently learning to speak Mandarin and love meeting new people, the more interesting the better. In fact, my friends always say stuff to me like 'How on earth did you meet him / her?'. Well, I kind of just tend to bump into people (don't worry, not literally) here and there and get chatting and that is that.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well - at the moment all I have done is accidentally take part in a CS meet and sign up. We'll see where I go from here...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Absolute beginner. I stumbled upon a couch-surfing meet up in Beijing last night and now... here I am! I want to see a bit more of China so hopefully will have experienced many a couch in the next few weeks.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Absolute number one amazing thing I have done was to see the Golden Temple in Amritsar at dawn. Watching the mist swirl off the Amrit Sarovar (the pool) and bathing in it while the sun was coming up was truly amazing (and I don't use that word lightly).
