About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To do the best with what I got

ABOUT ME

People tell me I lead an interesting life. I am an expert Mardi Gras goer. I make it to New Orleans at least once a year. I keep a list of free / fun things to do in NYC. Check NYC Department of Fun on Yahoo. I am heavily involved in Cub Scouting. I have been and really wish to get back into Black Powder shooting. If it has 4 strings and weights over 50 lbs, I can play it! I played upright bass in a honky tonk band for YEARS! I am a world recognized expert in goofing off with kids and if you befriend me we might just have to have a campout in your backyard.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I respond to all requests. I am more than willing to help you see my hometown.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I do not really surf. Thank God, my wife and I are both working and we can afford to come and go as we please. We would rather let that couch go to someone who really needs it. We have gotten the world's best advice as where to go and what to see. I went to the 100 years celebration of scouting in England BY MYSELF (well, me and 12,000 of my closest friends)the support from CS'ers was priceless.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw the Return to Forever Reunion, the New York Dolls reunion and the Iggy and the Stooges reunion, I saw the damage done by hurricane Katrina and I saw the city fight to come back. I saw people come out of their houses to tearfully thank me for riding in the '06 Mardi Gras w/ the Krewe of Pegagsus. I saw the world trade center fall. I saw thousands probably millions, get back on subways and elevators and city street in acts of bravery trying to simply recapture their lives.
