About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel the world; tasting a variety of local foods, learning about different cultures & seeing a variety of beautiful places.
AND
To find peace/balance within, to be the best version of myself I can be and help others spiritually awaken and be the best version of themselves they can be.

ABOUT ME

I am.... tattooed, bi-sexual, spiritual, adventure seeking, kind hearted and very open :)

Travelling has always been my dream and I'm very fortunate to have a loving supporting family that enables me to live my dreams.

I'm interested in finding out about different cultures & undertaking any opportunities presented to me.

I am a bit of a spiritual hippie. I'm training to be a kundalini yoga teacher and started to do Indian head massage and sound baths using Tibetan bowls. I am also developing a spiritual arts magazine with a friend at home, although that's on hold atm.

At the moment I'm looking for work back home, trying to get into holistic work but doing admin work to stay afloat.

PHILOSOPHY

Have you read the power of now? Such powerful book and so true- we need to live in the present moment and not worry about the past/future. Of course it is hard, but this is what I strive for.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can't offer my couch at the moment as I'm staying at my parents, but will meet up and give advice where possible :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had a few great couch surfing experiences when I travelled a few years ago then forgot all about it until I met some fellow travellers who reminded me how great it can be. So I'm hoping to couch surf some more and meet some more great people.

Interests

Adrenaline activities (generally only when travelling), roller derby, yoga, trance dance, festivals/events.

Music, Movies & Books

I like most music from r&b to rock to country songs. Basically anything except dance & trance, but never say never. (update- turns out dance/trance can be fun too :) )

Books: Any moving realistic story.
Movies: monsters ink (yes I am a kid at heart), p.s I love you, the beach (travel inspiration), momento, fight club

One Amazing Thing I've Done

I have done so many amazing things- from skydiving, to canyoning to elephant riding... I have also seen my beautiful niece being born and experienced great kindness from those who have little. The world can be a wonderful place :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I've spent a lot of time travelling solo & hope I can share my experiences with people who have not had the chance to do so yet. I don't really know what I can teach in particular or what I want to learn. I believe it depends on the individuals with whom you share couch surfing experiences. The most natural, real thoughts & sharing of information comes when the conversation flows freely with no pressure from either side.

Countries I've Visited

Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, China, Cook Islands, Guatemala, Honduras, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, New Zealand, Peru, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, United States
