About Me
Hello CS! After nearly a 10-year hiatus, I’m back.
I’m currently living in the City of Lights, Paris!
Before this, I lived in Indonesia, Japan, Vietnam, and California, and I’ve grown to love discovering how people live, think, and connect in different parts of the world.
I studied Finance, but my entire professional life has been in Sales, Marketing, and Product Management. I recently built my own tech startup, and I’m always excited to meet other entrepreneurs, especially in the fields of green tech, sustainability, and B2B SaaS.
I’ve visited 50+ countries, but I tend to return to the places that truly speak to me (you know that feeling when a place just clicks?). My goal isn’t to tick every country off a list, it’s to find places where I can feel at home and become the best version of myself.
I love connecting with like-minded people, those who share similar values, curiosity, and a drive to grow. In the past, I’ve met some of my most meaningful, long-term friends through CS, and I’m incredibly grateful for that.
When I’m not working or wandering, I’m out in nature; hiking, camping, biking, or occasionally trying not to fall off a rock wall . I’m also a big film lover. Feel free to send me recommendations if you have any favorites!
Looking forward to reconnecting with this amazing community.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing has helped me a lot during my travels by connecting me with so many kind souls.
For me, it’s a safe space for people with good intentions, and I’d love to continue being part of that community. I want to give back in the same way CS has enriched my own journey by meeting incredible people and sharing meaningful moments along the way.
Music, Movies, and Books
I’ve been getting into classic films lately, stuff like Les Quatre Cents Coups, La Haine, Cléo de 5 à 7, and yes, Amélie will always have a special place in my heart. I also love indie European films that hit you in the feels, like Before Sunrise, The Lives of Others, Ida, and L’auberge espagnole.
Music-wise, I’m all over the place, but I vibe with French and European artists like Stromae, Sofiane Pamart, Zaz, Christine and the Queens, and Yann Tiersen when I’m feeling moody.
Basically, if it tells a good story or makes me feel something, I’m into it. Always down to swap recs if you’re into films or music too.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
What about six? 😁
1. Learned to speak French fluently in less than a year, something I never thought I could do.
2. Faced my fear of heights by bungee jumping in New Zealand (my legs were shaking the whole time).
3. Spent a month traveling solo across Algeria, and it became one of the most meaningful experiences of my life.
4. Started a tech startup abroad and was fortunate enough to receive funding along the way.
5. Singlehandedly built a company branch in Silicon Valley and bring in its first revenues. It was a challenge, but I learned so much.
6. Last but not least, I can eat insanely spicy food without breaking a sweat 🌶️
Teach, Learn, Share
I’m always curious to learn, whether it’s a random fact, a new worldview, or just one of those stories that stay with you. I believe everyone’s been through something worth sharing, and honestly, the best lessons usually come over food or late-night conversations.
What I can offer? I’m happy to share the real stuff, like how to get back up when life kicks you in the gut, how failure teaches you more than success ever could, and why I still believe in chasing big dreams even when they feel far away.
On a lighter note, I can teach you how to cook a solid Indonesian nasi goreng (fried rice) without setting your kitchen on fire. It’s spicy, comforting, and may or may not cure heartbreak. You’ll probably end up making it at 2AM at some point. I’ll show you how.
