About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meet people. Eat. Collect stories and recipes.

ABOUT ME

I am personable, curious, and articulate. I thrive on lively conversation and making connections with people. I like to keep things fun.

I am of mixed Syrian, Irish, Swedish, and Polish descent. Being a mutt gives me an even temperament.

I'm upbeat; it's rare to see me sulking. I'm driven to find a higher understanding of things.

For work I run an Internet service that connects all sorts of strange things to the Internet including smart homes, grandmothers, commercial kitchens, and gardens.

I have a photoblog that I try and update frequently. If you want to know more about me, go there, or drop me a message.

PHILOSOPHY

Left wing. Right wing. Chicken wing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I travel for work or pleasure I prefer to couchsurf. It is so much better than the sterility of a hotel! I also love to host people. It's great to be able to give back to the community.

Interests

I love to hear stories. I love to write them down. I enjoy cooking and eating. I love water. I like to swim and sail. I'm just plain curious.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: anything Christopher Guest; documentaries. Music: anything artful, giving. Books: I recently read Blue Highways and loved it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My friend Jun-Pierre invited me to take his watercolor painting course at the Aegean Center for the Arts in Paros, Greece. It was a life changing experience. It felt less like a trip and more like living an alternative life. I wrote about it for the school here: http://aegeancenter.wordpress.com/2011/08/11/the-craft-of-watercolor-by-jordan-husney/

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

India, Japan, Spain, United States
