ABOUT ME

I've got many different fields of interest like history, politics and philosophy but also in the sciences like chemistry and physics. I'm always ready for discussions about current political affairs, history, religion or literature. I love to read, I like visiting museums and exhibitions and I'm also a great fan of going to the cinema. The movie itself isn't that important, it's the experience that's fascinating me.

I used to do a lot of sports, especially soccer but since I'm getting older and because of some serious problems with my ankles it's more watching than playing these days.

I'm kind of relaxed, not easily to anger but all the more easy to be calmed down. I very seldomly meet people that I don't like.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd like to offer a couch to people visiting my city. I really love my hometown and I know quite much about its history so I think, I'd have some interesting stories to tell.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Stayed for a couple of days with a very nice family in Israel near Tel Aviv. Another family from the same area took me in for more than a week. Hail to the hospitality of the people of Ganei Tikva.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I like Science Fiction, especially Stanislaw Lem and Philip K. Dick, and Fantasy (J.R.R. Tolkien, G.R.R. Martin). I also read classical German literature, short stories and anything else that catches my interest (Philip Roth, Amos Oz, Robert Harris etc.).
My prefered music is Heavy Metal (Blind Guardian, Rage, Subway to Sally and more) but I also like classical music. To improve my Hebrew I listen to Israeli music like Idan Reichel.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Travelled around through Israel, from the Golan hights in the north to Be'er Sheva in the south. Hiking in the Golan was quite an experience as was living in Haifa, Jerusalem, Kiryat Ono and Ramat Gan for a few months.
