Hi, I am Joke ('Yoka' for the English speaking) and I come from Belgium (Brussels & Antwerp roots). My partner Axel and I both quit our jobs to travel around in Oceania & Asia. WhatI do like the most is spending time with travellers, my friends, do some sports, be an enthusiastic volunteer and travel abroad. When I was 18; I choose to spent a year living abroad with a host family (Iceland). During our studies, Axel and I went to study in Switzerland.
And now we are travelling together in Indonesia before we are heading off to South-East Asia.

We love to be busy, mainly outdoors. We love to play soccer, to swim, to run, to hike and try to mountainbike. Axel has experience in sailing. Joke was active as a volunteer in a youth movement for many years and organised activities & events. We are very eager to learn some new skills or sports. We adapt easily to new conditions and love to, get in contact with people, hear their stories, have a good laugh or discuss with them on every kind of subject. Carpe diem as we say.

As we are on long term travel trip for the next year, we will not be able to host someone. Sorry guys!

Thanks to our exchange experiences, we value a cultural exchange - not necessarily always abroad but even in your hometown - as an asset to life. Even if it just a talk about a random theme or to observe how things are done differently, it can change your mind or give your other insights within your own life of others. Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

Some good Belgian beer or delicious chocolate depending on the preference of the host - if we can find anything around.
We have been trying to cook for some hosts, mostly some vegetarian dish, not specifically Belgian but tasty. Last time at Jeremy's place we tried something new that didn't work out as it should but Jeremy said it was good of taste :).
