Présentation
À propos de moi
ABOUT ME
I am an engineering student from Salzgitter, but I have spent a year living in California and a part of me is still there.
At the moment I am going through the final two semesters of my Bachelors degree and will hopefully start my masters directly after that.
Cooking, even though it might not fit the "engineer"-cliché, is one of my passions and I will happily cook/bake for anybody that lets me crash on their couch.
PHILOSOPHY
If there is a task at hand, can I create a machine to do it for me?
Its good for tons of fun, but I found out that a fruit salad is better made by hand...
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Unfortunately, I have not been too active on Couchsurfing. But I have made a good friend or two from letting someone spend the night in the guest room. And from that experience alone, I would gladly do it again if at all possible.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Even if it was not through the Couchsurfing website: I called up the team captain of a competing sports team before I stayed in her city for a conference/expo. Staying with her and her roomates in Stuttgart was great fun and I had some of the best Mexican food of all times while in Stuttgart.
Centres d'intérêt
I am generally a curious person and like to find new things.
As an engineering student I like (and have participated in) motorsports.
But I am also into triathlon, its a great feeling to put on the Noosa Tri 7's and get some mileage into the shoes.
On the other hand I also enjoy (some) art, but have been known to criticize some of the (supposedly) greatest pieces of art (anybody else think the Mona Lisa is not really THAT great of a painting... yeah ^^)

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
Pretty much everything?
I enjoy John Grisham and Dan Brown, but have cought myself enjoying a "girls"-book of my girlfriends'.
In terms of music it is mostly R&R, from old school 70's rock to some of the modern stuff, but also the occasional RnB-track, classical music and some HipHop. Not necessarily in that order :-)
And movies? Once upon a time in the Wild West? Maybe some Pulp Fiction, Spy Game and The Intouchables... definately The Intouchables!
But I can relax and fall asleep to anything from Bridget Jones to Cradle to the Grave.
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
Fooling around in the Stunt Park at the "Heavenly" ski resort in South Lake Tahoe in front of the maddeningly stunning scenery.
There are few things as great as a couple (or a couple more) feet of air below your skis, moving through the air in anticipation of the perfect landing!
