About Me

I am a very easy going foodie who loves to cook (and eat). I consider myself to be light hearted and I love laughing (at myself most of the time) and having a good time. I also love sarcasm.

I am a yogi, so I am always open to finding cool new places to practice. I also like to jog when the weather is nice (aka: not during our -40 winters)!

I love exploring and discovering new things to do and new places to see. Trying new restaurants and bars are also things I like to do. Just walking around a new city and stumbling upon (maybe hidden) interesting and less known places is something I find fun.

I think life is about balance, so as much as I like going out and being social; I also enjoy staying home and cooking a nice meal while enjoying a glass (or bottle) of wine. I also enjoy playing board games (scrabble and clue are some faves).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new and interesting people in my travel's and to enhance the cultural experience of the places I visit.

I won't lie, having a free place to stay also has a small appeal..

Also, the fact that we are building a community of trust by taking care of other people's belongings and property might help restore my faith that human beings can be good to one another.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all music but my top listening music is indie/pop (Billie Eilish, Bishop Briggs, Elijah Woods X Jamie Fine, Birdy are on one of my playlists) . I also like alternative (Metric, Muse, etc.), and EDM.

Favorite (cliche) movie is Pretty Woman. Recently watched the Before Sunrise Trilogy as well as the Age of Adeline which I really enjoyed. I guess I'm a hopeless romantic! I also like documentaries (Free Solo was really good), Action, and Dramas.

I am currently reading the Rosie Project Trilogy. It's a really good an eclectic book. My favourite author remains Khaled Husseini, who wrote The kite runner, A thousand splendid suns, and And the mountains echoed. Also recently acquired the bible of cookbooks by Kenji Lopez (my secret crush), it's called The Food Lab. So I spend some time reading that (before using it to make awesome food).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I rode camels in the Egyptian dessert..
I spent a week on a sail boat in the British Virgin Islands...

Ok sorry that wasn't one..
