About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Visit new countries, get to know new people.

ABOUT ME

I'm studying French and German in Zurich. I grew up in a small village in the east of Switzerland but I moved to Zurich last summer when I began to study. I live with 5 other funny people in a flat. I think it was the best decision of my live to move in a flat sharing community with people I didn't know before. We ourselves, sometimes wonder how good we get along, although we all come from a different place.
Since I've moved here I've changed. I became more independent and learned that I have to accept the way I am, to be proud of what I achieved and don't always try to hide it, because the others may talk behind your back. I'm open minded and used to be surrounded by others. I think I am pretty easy going, spontaneous but also well-organised and I like to have my things tidy.
I like other cultures, countries and languages. But unfortunately, I haven't seen a lot of Europe yet. (Shame on me!) During my studying year, I realized even more, how many things I still have to discover in the world. That's why I went alone on Interrail this summer. It was the best thing I could ever do! It was just great, an experience for a lifetime!

PHILOSOPHY

- Be yourself, no matter what the others may think.
- Don't leave one day without having done something that made it worth living.
- Don't get upset because of little things like a broken nail for example (Although I must admit that that's quite annoying). But there are things much worse in the world.
- I think I'm a bit a perfectionist. If I do something I want to do it right, otherwise I won't even start. Most of the time a good philosophy, but sometimes also impedimental for myself. ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At first, I'm going to experience CouchSurfing as a surfer on my Interrailtour but afterwards I also want to welcome surfers at my place as a host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I spent a week in Paris with several hosts. I had a great time and I am looking forward to meeting them again.

Interests

I do a lots of sports and love to spend time outdoors. I can't sit on the couch while the sun is shining outdoors. Then i prefeer going to the seaside with friends and chill there or go do some sports.
I would try out every kind of sport, I'm open for everything. I would really like to learn how to dance ( salsa, tango. usw) At the moment I sometimes go to trampoline sessions. In winter I often go snowboarding. If you're here in winter I could show you some tricks on the snowboard. :)
I'm very interested in music (indie, rock, reagge, usw) and I play the guitar.
I very like to cook and bake. But I also love other cuisines like for example all sort of asian food (chinese, indian, japanese..). I love sushi. Oh yes, and I love coffee. If you asked me if I wanted a coffee the answer would always be yes.
I also like to go out with my flatmates. I generally love to have a good time and laugh. But I sometimes I can also discute serious issues. It's the balance that makes everything interesting.
When I left high school I made a gap year as an AuPair to learn french and I teached a class of primary kids during 10 weeks. I think because of that, I'm also used to kids and I don't easily get upset.

Teach, Learn, Share

I especially want to learn the language from the other hosts and also teach them my language if they want to. I hope that the hosts can show me some of their culture and their city, as well as I will do it when they' ll visit my place. And certainly it would be great if we could, apart from just offering a place to sleep, become friends and maybe meet again later.
