ABOUT ME

After living in and exploring Peru, and traveling S.America for for two years, I will now be moving to Baku, Azerbaijan. I'll be working at a new international school, and I'm looking forward to this new adventure! I love to laugh, I'm an optimistic, sociable person. Just a nice guy that likes the outdoors, traveling, and having fun. I love to travel and meet new people and thought couch surfing would be a great way to expand my social circle, meet some new and interesting people from around the world! Just trying this thing out since a few friends have used couch surfing both as hosts and surfers and they rave about what a wonderful time they had. A bit about me. I'm a strong minded person who love intelligent conversation but deep down I'm goofy and very easy going. I like to laugh and make other people laugh. I love to travel...have I stressed that yet lol??? I like good music and pints, reading, and anything new and interesting makes me happy! Ohhhhhh and I'm a Teacher, so education is very important to me as well as at risk youth!

PHILOSOPHY

I feel like I've been on a long journey to really discover myself, who I am and what motivates me as a person. I find myself constantly shifting, my desires, beliefs, and what I find important. I think for me, travel and living abroad provides me with an opportunity to really discover myself, but also acts as an escape from what many consider the working reality of the West!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I´m now a veteran of CS, currently living in Cajamarca, Peru. I don´t use CS nearly as often as I used to but, it´s a great place to get info, and connect with like minded travelers. I use CS more for great local information on places I´m visiting, travel friends, and meet ups with locals to make new friends!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I´ve been on CS for years now, and only just updated my profile. I have a lot of views, and not as many people as friends as some other people might have, but all my experiences have been great. CS is an amazing place to to drink in the spirit of travel with wonderful people from around the world!

Too many to really list! Lately for movies I've enjoyed the Hurt Locker and Rockin Roller, music I'm a big fan of the Black Keys, The Fumes, Kings of Leon, and The Parlor Mob...good books I've read lately would have been The Road, Water for Elephants, The Alchemist, Oryx and Crake, and American Gods.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Walked the Great Wall of China, scuba dived in the Great Barrier Reef, floated down the Mekong, got into a fight with a Kangaroo haha (seriously no joke!), drank Guinness with real Irishmen (and had my arse handed to me!!), volunteered in an orphanage in Thailand, worked 2 wonderful years in Japan, seen some amazing sunsets, and much more! Oh it only asked for one!
