ABOUT ME

We (Raina and Jon) are fun and adventurous. We enjoy exploring and appreciate the history and legend of the places we visit. We love beer and are always searching for the best local microbrew. We are married and own a house and have a cat named Captain Jack. We enjoy playing cards and other games such as Dominion and Settlers of Catan. We are active in our local theatre and arts community. Jon works and Raina is in school for a second degree in Biomedical Science. We enjoy meeting new people and we're outgoing. We love to talk about travel, history, philosophy and art -- especially over a cold one!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I used CS once before on a month-long road trip across the western US. It was a great experience! I love to travel and (when we are able) wish to allow others to stay with us. We're passionately interested in the world and we enjoy people who share a love of travel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed with a nice fellow named Chip in Rapid City, SD. That was with a former boyfriend, and booked on his account, so unfortunately I can't provide more information. Also, when I lived in Nashville, I allowed touring artists to stay at my apartment.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Raina - Mt. Hood at sunrise; riding 60-foot swells in a storm in the Gulf of Maine; watching wild horses run from Devil's Canyon, UT; the view driving down the mountains to the Costa Del Sol in Spain; driving the span of US Hwy 1 from Washington state to San Diego, CA; sitting at a street cafe eating fresh streusel in Vienna, Austria
Jon - Biking the circumference of Mackinac Island; watching the sunrise from a mountainside in Philmont, NM; drift-diving coral reefs in Cancun, MX; walking through a glacier tunnel in Glacier National Park, MT; eating fresh bacon at a hotel in the Austrian countryside

Teach, Learn, Share

Jon is a student of World Religions and will happy discuss at great length. Raina is a musician first and foremost and likes talking about concerts and albums, and also interior design and rock and mineral collections.
