Overview
About Me
I am a teacher of history. I was born and raised in Buffalo, New York, USA, which is right down the road from Niagara Falls. I love to travel and experience new things. I play ice hockey and love the my hometown team the Buffalo Sabres. I prefer winter over summer lol. Too hot for me :) Feel free to ask if you'd like to know more.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The primary reason I would like to couchsurf is to meet local people. I think that when you can see a place through the eyes of a local, it just makes the experience of traveling so much more enjoyable. You can learn about culture, language, and understanding what makes people who they are. I find this much more enjoyable than being around tourists from my own country. Saving money helps too :)
Interests
My interest are in music, art, culture, languages, history, sports (ice hockey), politics, traveling, and photography.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a history nerd so I love to read about history. Including fiction. I love rock music. Punk rock is probably my favorite genre. My favorite band is the Tragically Hip. I can list so many bands that I like.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This one is hard for me, but being in Europe for the 2014 World Cup. Soccer (football) is not really a popular sport in the US, but being in Europe, especially in Germany for this made it a great experience. Feeling the excitement and the joy of the fans was very memorable.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can offer a host an open mind. I want to learn from the host, and in turn, I can teach you about my culture as well. I'm clean and respectful of other people's personal belongings. I can even do the dishes if you'd like :)
