My name is Jon Ling. I am graduating University with a degree in electrical engineering this May and I want to make up for all that time I spent reading physics and math books. I'm on a solo mission to travel around central and west Europe and would like to meet the locals in the area.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing to experience new places I visit in an authentic way. When I first heard of Couchsurfing, it sounded like a very foreign idea. After spending time in hostels when I backpacked around Peru, I realized how friendly and accommodating other travelers and hosts can be. I now realize that Couchsurfing would allow me to get the experience I am looking for. I am also looking for some good tips on Couchsurfing, as I would like to host in the future in my city of Orlando.

Interests

I love traveling, exploring new cities, and meeting new people. When I am in my home town I like building things...really anything. Whether I'm building things on my 3d printer or coding up a website, I love the whole lifecycle of exercising my creativity and seeing what I can build.
