About Me

Hello, My name is Jon Villani. Open minded and kind hearted. Born and rasied in Calgary, Alberta Canada. I work as a holistic health coach. Simplisity is underrated.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Adventure. Plain and simple. This is my first time in Europe. I havent nearly done as much traveling as I would like to up to this point in my life. Traveling with people that were locals or knew locals gave me an oppurtunity to see a side of those countries I dont think I would of had a chance to see otherwise. I perfer seeing a place from the perspective of the people that live their rather than the touristic side of things (although I will always make time to see the highlights of a place as well).

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to think I have an eclectic taste in all forms of art, but off the top of my head:

For music I like anything thats got soul. The album I currently have playing in heavy rotation is a hip-hoppy/neosoulish/funky album called 'Malibu' By Anderson .Paak. I also love classic rock , blues, hip hop and soul.

Recently rewatched 'One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest', fantastic movie. Love anything Tarantino, Scorsese, Copola and Wes Anderson (off the top of my head)

Currently reading 'Hero With a Thousand Faces' by Joesph Campbell, a book that breaks down the commonalities of stories both modern and ancient. Just finished Herman Hesse' "Siddartha".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Rode a motorcycle from my home town of Calgary to Montreal and back, just under 10,000km round trip

Teach, Learn, Share

Movement (Back pain? Knee pain? Neck pain? I might be able to help) , Language (English is my only language so far and Im kind of ashamed of that), Food (would love to learn and teach a few recipes). Respectively 😄

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm physically capable and willing to clean and do odd jobs. I like to be clean and organized in daily life in general. I've worked labour intensive jobs before. Quick learner and problem solver. I know how to use the Adobe suite (photoshop, illustrator, premiere and after effect) as I did most of the promotional materials for my own business and businesses I've worked for/with in the past.

Countries I’ve Visited

Barbados, China, Philippines, Portugal, Singapore
