CURRENT MISSION
Leave the world a better place than I found it
ABOUT ME
This is the hardest question...
I am very laid back and easy going, not much bothers me.
I grew up in a small town in New England but have considered myself a world citizen since childhood. I went to Clark University in Massachusetts and then I moved to China in Feb. 2009. I then fell in love with the place and have been here since.
I come from a semi-big family and we always had lots of people over all the time so I love having a full house. The more the merrier!
My roommate, Cheng Wei, is also a pretty good cook (Chinese food and ice cream) and would love to cook for anyone who comes over.
PHILOSOPHY
"So powerful is the light of unity that it can illuminate the whole Earth."
Por que estou no Couchsurfing?
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My house is open to those passing through the great city of Baotou or in need of helping planning trips in the area.
My house is your house!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I first heard about couch surfing while visiting a friend of a friend in the US, who was hosting several people. I thought the idea sounded so interesting that I had to join the site. So far, I have had a few couchsurfing visitors while living in Baotou and the experiences have all been extremely positive.
Interesses
As a teacher I am very much interested in to development of children. I love talk about education and the growth of the human being.
My bike is my best friend, we ride together even when it's so cold my breath freezes to my face.
Baking is a great way to get a taste of home and to stay warm on a cold day.
And, of course, I get pretty excited about meeting new people and sharing experiences. It's kinda the reason I moved to the other side of the planet.

Uma Coisa Incrível que Eu Fiz
Being in a car with several friends in Germany, missing the exit for a castle we wanted to see, deciding that instead of turning around we just keep going another 7 hours until we get to switzerland at night, waking up in a hotel half-way up the Alps with a beautiful view before ascending all the way to top on trams, getting back in the car and driving back to Germany.
Ensine, Aprenda, Compartilhe
I can play "twinkle twinkle little star" on the Chinese erhu. If your ears aren't bleeding after I play it for you I would be happy to show you how.
