I love travel. My wife, five children, and I have been travelled extensively, usually staying in campgrounds. Our favorite trips have been New Zealand in 2004, where we ended up living for 1.5 years, and our eight month camping trip in Western and Northern Europe. We also enjoy our annual Western USA road trips.

We live on the beautiful island of Maui in Hawaii, and we love to work, garden, restore old homes, restore vintage Mercedes, travel, volunteer in our community, and of course, play at the beach.

I only do couchsurfing when i am traveling by myself, as I am sure the seven of us is more than a crowd.

My mother helped me foster a great love for classical music and I like all other kinds of music. I love to read history and the news, but I'm happy with almost any good book in any genre. My favorite movies are all over the place, though I tend to come back to early 1990s comedies.

I am able to fix about anything thanks to years running a home building company and even more years as a hobbyist mechanic. I love to get things clean and organized. I also work hard to live off of our land and have learned a lot over the years about animal husbandry, farming, gardening, butchering, and sustainable living. I would love to learn more about beekeeping. I' happy to help out if you have anything that needs to be cleaned or fixed.
