ABOUT ME
At the moment I am working as an electrician and living in Bristol...but I like to be out of the city as much as possible, exploring mountains or swimming in the sea, cycling, camping, staring at the sky. I can be quite shy at first, but also chatty at other times ;) I like to meet new people and make friends, to share cultures and ideas and explore new places.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have hosted people before who i have met on their travels through Bristol and have been hosted by a number of very kind couch surfers during a solo bike tour through France a few years ago. It was so good to know that every now and again i'd have a bed and some friendly faces. Everyone was so kind and helpful and couch-surfing was a really important part of my journey.
Hitch-hiking near Avingon, S.France, a few years ago, i was sitting by the side of the road, lost, eating baguette and nutella and found myself that night sleeping in an olive grove after having shared dinner with a wonderful family who had picked me up. I hadn't even had my thumb out but was taken home and looked after! This was a really important experience as a first time hitch-hiker and fairly novice 'traveller' as it gave me alot of faith and encouragement to be independent and trusting.

Music, Movies, and Books
Writings of Helene Cixous are the most soothing and thrilling. Half Nelson is a wonderful movie.
Drum n bass and cheesy pop get me through my days at work.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Cycle touring is always my favourite. A few years ago my friend and I cycled from Hungary to Bulgaria, the whole ride was amazing. The people we met and the beautiful countries we saw, the roads we rode and the hills we climbed!
