Hej, I'm Jonas and I study International Relations in a small town in the middle of Germany. I love to travel and get to know new people, foods and all other cool things! While living abroad I was fortunate enough to experience a lot of kindness and hospitality from strangers and I know how important it is to give back to all those amazing people. I'm looking forward to staying with you and/or hosting you!
My room is small but there is loads of space for one or two people. I only have one key so you'll only be able to be in my apartment when I'm there too. That shouldn't be a problem on the weekends as I don't have classes then. During the week you are welcome to take part in my activities during the day and spend some time together in the evening, as evenings will be mostly free since my lectures are in the morning.
My apartment is close to the university and there is a train station within 2 min walking distance with trains going to town at least every 10 min during the day and at least every hour during the night (single trip ticket costs 2€).

During my travels I experienced the kindness of strangers first hand and I understand my responsibility of giving back to our global community of travelers. I love to get to know new people and hear their stories. Trying to see the world through someone else's eyes can be a great adventure in itself!

Interessi

I'm an active member of my uni's group for sustainability and we're working to make our world a little healthier and greener one small step at a time.
I'm also into sports and I have tried various things from running to Karate. I really like watching American Football and of course I follow every game of the University of Michigan, where I used to live :-) I also enjoy throwing around the football myself from time to time.
As my subjects of study are International Relations and Economics, I love to talk about these topics and get to know more. I read a lot on these things and I still got so many books on my list!
I'm also a strong advocate for lgbt*+ rights and I'd love to have discussions with you if you're also interested.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

I went to the Philippines for a service trip for a month after there had been a hurricane and I got to know loads of super courageous and dedicated people as well as vibrant communities that all taught me a lot about life.

Spend a year in China at a Korean International School. I loved it a lot!
