Hello! I'm a teacher in Taipei, Taiwan. I enjoy many activities outdoors. If I'm traveling I'm probably looking for a new place to hike, climb, or bike (suggestions are appreciated!). As far as hosting goes, I'm usually really busy on weekends, so weeknights are preferable. I can show you some of my favorite spots in Taipei if you'd like. Otherwise, I think you'll have a ton of fun exploring Taipei on your own.

I'd like to make new friends and make this world feel a little smaller. I don't mind spending money on hostels and hotels; I'd rather stay with a local. I enjoy meeting new people and hearing about their lives, passions, and experiences. Grabbing beer with a stranger is always fun too! The first time I really enjoyed traveling was when I visited Brazil and stayed with a family. I got to learn about their family dynamics, taste their favorite foods, and visit local places. After that experience, I decided I'd like to stay with locals as much as I could.

I hiked Yushan Mountain, the tallest peak in SE Asia! It was a three day adventure in hammocks, rain, frequent 7-Eleven meals, and too many spiders.
