Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am a person who loves to share things, to travel and exchange experiences for free. In addition to that I want to show people the beauty of every place in this world. I think I can show, at least, and to a certain extent describe the beauty of the places I've lived in and I've visited. Maybe you can do too. Traveling enriches the soul, refreshes our openness, lets us switch our perspective and frees us as human beings. Couchsurfing offers the genuine experience of traveling and meeting people, that's why I've joined.

Interests

I've got various interests (maybe that's my problem) and I am very open to almost everything. Although I sense a deep love and passion for Philosophy, Art, Literature, Poetry, Movies, Music, Photography and Science, Vegan Cooking, Sports (if you do it yourself), chocolate (I just love it).

In addition to that I try to be a person that is conscious about politics, ecology and our responsibility towards our earth and all living creatures. Plain old living a good, responsible, happy full life.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy listening to every genre in music, but especially indie, folk, (alternative) rock, jazz, reggae, classic, hip-hop, metal, blues and electronic. The (Billboard) Charts are not in my focus. Music is one of the most beautiful things in this world. So feel free to share some performances.

I love dramas, dark-humorous comedies, social issue-movies, the old classics, good horror- and some action- respectively thriller-movies.

My favorite books are too numerous to count. Among them are 'homo faber' by Max Frisch, 'Auto-da-fe' by Elias Canetti, books by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, 'Orlando' by Virginia Woolf, Edgar Allan Poe's stories and many others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've done a voluntary service in the USA for one year after I've graduated the German Gymnasium (high-school). This was a very rich and great experience I am very grateful for. In Spring Valley we took care of the elderly in a Community. Besides that there is also some organic farming. It was a very intense time.
