One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When my friend and I were visiting Yakushima we went to hike the forests in the mountains. We were supposed to make a turn at the halfway mark onto another route that led to the busstop, but we missed the turn and walked the full first route only to turn around, find the right turn and run up the mountain then down again for about 6 km. because we realised the last bus was to leave some time before we would get there. We ended up arriving at the busstop 2 minutes before it was set to leave, totally covered in sweat and dirt but high on achievement! We were told the route would take about 9 hours but we did it in about 4 just to get to the bus in time.
