ABOUT ME
Hey! My name is Jonatas. I used to be a rare case of pessimistic good-tempered. My favorite author is Camus, but Borges has come close. I've been the type to do everything at once. Today, I seek to travel at life smoothly. But with thousand projects. Life has proved me the importance of optimism. I am "curitibano" by adoption. I've already been to Japan. I was excessively down to earth. I do still take people very seriously, but I am trying to be crazier. I reject the moral perfectionism and I believe the ability to understand and explain phenomena and actions. I do not underestimate the power of words. If something must be done, it must be done well. Eventhough I have already saved on food to spend on travel, I think the conventional tourism is a waste of time. Everything I wanted in my life took a long time to came. When it happened, it was much much greater than I expected. Happiness has more to do with attitudes than with the circumstances. The mellowness, with previous experiences than with age. I want to spend some time in Africa. Life has many points of observation. I believe in the gradual distribution of power and wealth and progressive social inclusion. Kindness is not mandatory seasoning, but it makes all the difference in a life. I hate to admit, but I'm afraid of loneliness. I am intuitive. I am unsecure. I suffer in advance. I am conciliator, but I do not lose a good discussion. The higher bills are brought about by time. People are afraid to admit, but much of life depends on luck and is not under our control. I believe in chance. Not in the destination. At the end, everything ends well. If it is not well, because it is not over.
Nice to meet you!
PHILOSOPHY
You are responsible for the path you track. The energy that goes around, comes around. Therefore, always be positive. Meanwhile, tidiness means evolution.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I think CS is about sharing experiences and knowing cultures. I'm very into receiving people and going for a coffee or a beer.
I love to show my city and talk about Brazil. If you want to know Brazilian history and our culture, just ask me.
As I do not have much free time, I do not use to go to CS meeting, but I really would like to get more engaged in the community.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Traveling is one of my passions. A guy I meet in a hostel told me about CS. I registered and, since then, I loved it! Unfortunately, I have been studying hard recently, so I could not participate much in the CS community, but, when time allows me, I am always into receiving people and traveling. They were all great!I met incredible people, had a lot of fun and made great friends!

Music, Movies, and Books
The saddest part of studying too much technical issues for a test is the lack of spare time to literature, movies and music.
Anyway, my classic books are:
The stranger - Albert Camus
Ficction and The Aleph - Jorge Luiz Borges
A houndred years of loneliness - Gabriel Garcia Marquez
The wolf of the steppe - Hermann Hesse
Memórias Póstumas e Brás Cubas and Memorial de Aires - Machado de Assis
I love MPB (Brazilian Popular Music)and Bossa Nova. It will be a pleasure to talk about it. However, most of the time I listen to regular international songs.
I am very down to earth person so that si-fi and action movies seem boring to me. My favorites are those romances and dramas telling about life, relationships, feelings, history, society. Anyway, Almodóvar, Woody Allen, Denys Arcand, Fernando Meirelles etc.
