PHILOSOPHY

People should be allowed to do whatever they like so long as they do not cause non-consensual harm to others.

My objective in life is to maximize the quantity that is the sum over all people of the integral of that person's happiness function over all time subject to the above constraint.

Basically I just want to make everyone (including myself) as happy as possible, without screwing anybody over in the process.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Uh. Is "I host people." a sufficient response?

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

During my Eurotrip over Winter 2012, while I never actually stayed at a couchsurfer's house, I met many other couchsurfers who were also traveling. I happened to be in Berlin during Christmas, and I met up with 16 or so other couchsurfers to have an awesome Christmas dinner. I even keep in touch with a couple of them =)

Since I got back, I've hosted several people, and overall it's been a pretty awesome experience.

Nothing specific. I like a little bit of everything I guess.

Except with books. With books, I have a strong preference for any sort of book that I can learn something from.

I love learning. Probably more than most anything. I also love teaching. Unfortunately, that which I am best at teaching (math) is probably not something you'd go to Couchsurfing looking for. I could also help with your English, although, I imagine most people could do that haha. I am in the process of learning Chinese, however, so if you're willing to help me and your English needs some polishing, that would be awesome =)
