Hi, my name is Jonathan. I recently quit my job as a Drilling Engineer and I am evaluating my alternative job options and locations. My ideal vacation is hiking in National Parks. Recently, I have gotten back into photography and enjoy taking pictures of wildlife the most. Around Houston, I enjoy biking and disc golf.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am driving up from Texas to New England to stay with my parents for a week or so, and in the process I would like to visit and stay in a few cities I am looking at for potential jobs. It would be great to get to talk to people who live in those cities to get a feel for what the cites have to offer. I also view travel as an important aspect in my life, and I am curious how couch surfing works in practice.

Basically a movie that has an interesting story, stylistic visuals, action, comedy, and a great soundtrack. From Quentin Tarantino, my favorite is probably Django Unchained. I really enjoyed Baby Driver from Edgar Wright.

Books:
My favorite series are probably Harry Potter and A Song of Ice and Fire. I recently read the Bill Hodges Trilogy by Stephen King and really enjoyed it. Currently reading Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have made a few aces in disc golf, if that counts. Nothing spectacular, but a pretty cool feeling.

I'd love to learn about what it is like to live in your city. What are the people like, how is the commute, what do you do for fun, etc... Anything you can tell me about living there and what you think about it is of interest to me, since I am looking for a new place to settle down.
