I'm Jonathan, Jona for short. I am originally from Argentina, but currently, I am in between countries.

I am a solo traveler who wants to see and experience as much of the world as possible. I did some traveling, backpacking across Europe in 2017 and 2025. I studied in Germany in Esslingen am Neckar back in 2017/2018, and I worked in Australia during 2023 and in Denmark this year.

I'm funny and super respectful, talkative but comfortable with silence too.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have used Couchsurfing a couple of times while I was in Germany, I had some wonderful experiences with Couchsurfing, and I hold those stories and days very dear.

As the years went by, I grew to realize that traveling, at least for me, is actually about the people you meet along the way. I think I definitely learned something and took something with me from every host that I stayed with.

I also tend to "judge" cities based on whether I would live there or not, so tourist experiences aren't exactly the best for that, but local help is, so I am all for getting to know a city from the point of view of a resident.

Interests

I’m a fan of Boca Juniors but I’m a terrible football player. (I also like VFB Stuttgart)

I enjoy walking and cycling. One thing I don't like is television but I do use YouTube, mainly to watch nerdy stuff and some comedy trash.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Play any style of music that you like, I'll probably be okay with it.

Movies: I am not much of a TV, series, or movie guy. From the last three, movies are definitely my go-to, although it's hard to tell which one is my favorite.

Books: Lately, I fell for reading. I don't have a favorite style; my taste is all over the place. I do try to read in Spanish, English, and German. I think it is a good way to keep in touch with the languages and not lose them

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Quit my engineering job in Argentina to move to different countries, work in many different jobs, and travel as much as I can.

I am still figuring out if it was a good or bad decision, haha.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A beer! (Or a coffee, that’ll do too) Some laughs, some stories and details about my country or the places I’ve been to.

I can share my thoughts too. Although I am an engineer I can be a bit of a philosopher at times.
