Hello Everyone,

I am the one on the right in the picture.

I was born and raised in New Jersey, and I moved to Korea in 2007. First, I just went to learn Korean but I ended up loving the culture and the people, and that is why I was in Korea until 2011. I was in the Ph.D program in Hawaii, but I dropped out of the program in 2013. After that, I have worked mostly has a freelancer. I love to travel during my spare time and I like to write and take pictures.
I hope to meet a lot of people through Couchsurfing! :)

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Listening to music, watching movies, and reading books are basically my life. I love to listen to Korean pop and Pop music of all genres. While growing up in New Jersey, I learned Korean by listening to K-pop songs.

I was once a Ph.D student of East Asian Studies, and my research interests were Korean cinema and literature. I like attending film festivals and watching mainstream movies. As for literature, my favorite author is Murakami Haruki. But, I basically like to read and watch everything. :)

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I was a freelancer for a Korean broadcasting corporation, where I went to Ethiopia for 3 months. We visited 5 different tribes and filmed about poverty, drought, and civil conflicts. It was an amazing experience, and I really want to travel in Africa one day.
