Hello! Nice to meet you. My name is Jonathan. I'm a 24-year-old Belgian with a passion for storytelling, hiking, sports and discovering new places. At this moment, I'm occupied as a sports journalist and digital storyteller. Being a digital storyteller means I'm always up for discovering new stories and people. For example: in 2017, I went to Myanmar to make a online documentary series about music in the country. I'm a runner myself, so I'm in pretty good shape to do some sports and hiking..

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think Couchsurfing is the most convenient way to meet new people. I've got some very good experiences with it up till now. It's the best method to learn about places. Locals always know a lot more. I'm also keen on meeting new people. It is one of the reasons why I like to travel alone. When you're traveling solo, you automatically start to talk to other people.

Interests

I'm an active sportsman myself, but I also like to watch competition on tv. My real passion is radio in fact, I had my own show on a local radio station for several years. Now, I'm working as a sports radio editor for the public broadcast radio. So I kinda turned my hobby into a job. I also like to learn a lot about cultures, languages and personal stories.
