关于我

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
READ FIRST!!!!
Important Information for Surfers:

1. Make sure you have a look in my profile before requesting a couch. I dont accept random requests and I might not even reply (thats why my reply rate is not 100%). Couchsurfing involves for me some kind of commitment/interest to spend time (not money).

2. No racist/homophobic/xenophobis/transphobic/or any other sort of people who are dogmaticly against other living beings (human and nonhuman). Vegetarian/vegan people are esspecially welcomed. I accept that people eat meat, but as a host, I consider surfers eating meat in my house as rude.

3. In case you are not good in making personal requests (I sometimes find it quite difficult), answer one of these questions. Its just to get a feeling of your way of thinking.
A. For what in your life do you feel most grateful?
B. What pops up, when you think of the word polyamory?
C. Complete this sentence: “I wish I had someone with whom I could share … “
D. What, if anything, is too serious to be joked about?
E. What is your favourate question?

4. The concept of couchsurfing requires a lot of trust and references can enhance it. I therefore consider leaving a reference by surfers as a nice thing for future hosts/surfers (not obligatory though).

5. If you have read until here and can agree with what I set, please write me. When you travel with friends, please include a link to their profiles.
I am looking forward to read you message ;-)

To be honest, I hate to write something about myself. Every image I draw of myself must necessarily be wrong and imbalanced and the impression a written text can give, will very likely contradict my true personality. Nonetheless, I'll try to say some words about me. I am partly philosopher - I like to interpret the world in general and to think about certain issues in particular - and I am partly the rational engineer, studying physical phenomena and their explanations. Besides these two categories many more can help me to present my personality here on CS, but I refrain from doing so.

When I am with other people - friends as well as unknown people - I often observe the people and things around me without the urgent need to talk all the time. This does not mean, that I am not interested in others. It rather means, that I need to process the information around me, uncluding the things that I hear and see. I very often catch me while drifting away with my thoughts.

It is important for me to live with friends in appartment sharing houses or communities. I cannot and do not want to live alone. In my hometown Bayreuth I live together with many people and we do a lot of stuff together. From cooking, eating, gardening, celebrating, laughing, disputing... we share many things and that is exactly the way I want to live ;-)

- A mind that is streched by new experience
can never go back to its old dimensions -
[Oliver Wendell Holmes]

I like to get to know new cultures and places. Travelling for me means to go with the flow. I do not like to plan my trips. I prefer to just do whatever I feel like doing in that exact moment. It is such a fantastic feeling to let the coincidence drive you. There is some unconscious thing that steers, where to go, what to do, who to meet.
I am also not into visiting famous places or tourist attractions. When I am in an unknown place, I love to walk around and to absorb the atmosphere. Just by looking at people, tourists and locals alike, I can learn alot.
For me the unscheduled travel is the greatest way to discover new places and meet exciting and beautiful people. And this spontaneity is the reason why I am often requesting a couch at short notice.

In my hometown I was part of some social movement groups. I was part of a community supported agriculture (CSA), a transition house and I have organized an open kitchen and house concerts. For me it is important to engage in non-profit, solidary and sustainable initiatives.

音乐、电影和书籍

One book, that I like very much is "Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance" by Robert Pirsig. Its good to read on a travel, because it contains so many important aspects of life and the author presents his thought in a brilliant way, combining abstract thinking with its roots in reality. If you want to explore the philosophy of quality and rationality, read this book. Its fun to read. Besides Pirsig, Hermann Hesse has written some awesome books (e.g. Siddhartha, Narziss und Goldmund and Steppenwolf)
