About Me

I consider myself as a mix. Born in Peru and raise by a peruvian family but in Montréal, Canada. As a child, I was fascinated by geography but in reality now I know that what I was fascinated by is the idea of infinite possibilitites of places to discover. Growing up I tried to follow the classic path until I realize that is not for me, I feel trapped. I would like to be a bird, not a tree. Both can be beautiful but I prefer appreciated the beauty of trees by flying over and going from one to another.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I want to travel the world and meet locals everywhere. I feel that travelling is about people not only about places so I really want to exchange about how people live life and see life in every specific place. So I simply just like people!

Interests

Photography is my new passion.
I love so much being outdoor and discovering new places that is just perfect for me. Also because I like people, I like capturing the beauty of people. By that, I am not talking about any beauty standards but rather the beauty of a human being that is simply alive showing an emotion.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hated winter so conquer it, I decided to move from Montréal to Banff, Alberta where is always cold compared to Montréal. Then to sure to get to like winter, I decide to get a job on Lake Louise Ski resort to work for a restaurant in the middle of the mountain where the only way to get there is skiing. But I never skied before and I had to past a ski test on my first day or I get fired.

It wasn't the best idea but it end up by being the best. I was lucky that the opening was delay by a week so I could work hard in another resort to be able to past the test. I did not like it on my first day but because I did not want to get fired I kept trying every day, falling and being sore. I managed to pass the test and finally discover a passion that I never expected.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can help practise Spanish or French and I am definitly interested about learning any other language. Everything about different culture fascinate me. Any new idea about a destination is always welcome.

I can teach people of to find good deals for a house or a car. I am also not bad at managing finances. Actually my degree is in appraisal. And I have also personnal interest about finances/economics and have work in that field very long time ago.
