About Me

CURRENT MISSION

The more places you visit and the more cultures you experience, the better person you become. This is my personal belief, and it is what drives me to travel as often as I can! It's a daily mission to broaden my perspective in any way I can.

ABOUT ME

I recently graduated from the University of Notre Dame (May 2012) in South Bend, IN, U.S.A. I am still at Notre Dame completing an M.A. in English.

My greatest passion is for the Irish-Gaelic language, which I have been learning for 3 years. I have been to Ireland several times in order to better learn the language, and I have fallen in love with the country's culture and way of life.

As a student of literature, I have a great interest in reading and writing (although I prefer to write). I try to write a little bit outside of my academic duties, although it can be difficult to find the time. It is definitely a goal to write more frequently and consistently in the future.

I'm generally an easy-going individual who feels comfortable being on my own or amongst a group. I can be very reflective at times and enjoy exploring the world by myself. However, I am always willing to sit down with a few good friends, enjoy a pint or two, and chatter the night away.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first visit to Ireland, standing on the Western Coast and looking out over the Atlantic, was a truly awe-inspiring moment. It was my first trip outside of my home country (U.S.A.), and for the first time I realized both how big and small the world truly is. Big in that there are so many fascinating places in faraway lands, and small in that we have the ability to travel to those places and meet people just like ourselves.
